The Forge

Family Canoe and Bushcraft Adventure

Event Date: 04/06/21 - 06/06/21

This two night adventure is the perfect introduction for families to canoeing and bushcraft survival skills.

Combining luxury glamping accommodation with a true taste of wilderness adventure, this two night experience combines canoeing and basic bushcraft skills to provide young families with a fun introduction to open water expeditions.

Over the course of the weekend, you'll learn how to light your own campfires, find out about wild food and get the chance to try your hand at axe throwing (if you are feeling brave!). You will also receive expert tuition in paddling open canoes on a picturesque, secluded lake, including top tips on how to keep little ones happy, safe and warm.

You'll get to spend two nights in one of our luxury bell tents, complete with real beds, lots of cosy blankets and cushions - there are even carpets! You will be treated to some seriously delicious wood-fired pizzas plus there'll be the opportunity to cook your own hot dogs over the campfire, saving room for the marshmallows of course! And to top it all off we have a local storyteller in the evening to share some unforgettable bedtime stories around the campfire, whilst you snuggle under a blanket with a hot chocolate and gaze up at the stars.

There are two dates for this trip in 2021: 4th - 6th June and 1st - 3rd October.

We have space for five families (based on two adults and two children, aged from 6 months to 16 years) on each trip and the cost per family is £950 including VAT. This includes all food, accommodation, tuition and hire of safety equipment. We can accommodate up to two more children for a supplementary cost of £50 each.
