Resolving burnout is complex so attempting it alone can be hard. But with some structure and support - things get easier. Holidays do not impact on burnout because you dread going, you feel exhausted throughout, and despair at returning to your burnt out life.
Our burnout event is different... it merges glamping & the great outdoors with burnout mending talks by a burnout expert.

What does the programme involve?
These are spent learning about burnout and related health matters:
The programme of afternoon activities are designed to immerse you in nature and help you to harness the healing power of woodland, water and foraging. We'll help you to find the right balance of relaxation, personal challenge and natural highs, all of which are designed to take you away from your everyday stresses and allow you the time and space to focus on yourself and your recovery. You have the option to try your hand at:
The evenings are designed to help you relax and switch off, with activities that will promote greater mindfulness and inner calm. You can join us for:
So that you make the very most of the opportunity to focus on yourself, we'll take care of all the food, accommodation and activities for you. Nutrition and hydration is a huge part of taking care of yourself and plays a central role throughout the week. We also appreciate that rest and a good night's sleep may be the main priority, which is why our itinerary is flexible - you are welcome to join as many or as few sessions as you wish. We can fully understand the draw of a hammock and a good book, but this can be even better after some pennies drop about burnout, some primitive skills are allowed out and some exercise in fresh air!
We don't serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring some and we can cater for all dietary needs, just let us know at least 10 days before you arrive.
You'll be hosted by Dr Sonia Hutton-Taylor, who has unique expertise in burnout gained over 30 years at the intersection of wellbeing at work, career guidance and medical education. Sonia has run successful burnout programmes for many years and is also passionate about getting out into nature to complement her work.
Sheena Corry is the founder and director at The Forge, which she established in response to tackling her own burnout after working a 20 year corporate career in the City. With a background in behavioural change management, management consulting and diversity & inclusion she brings her own lived experience of how immersion in nature helped her find a better balance in her life.
So that we can better tailor the programme to suit you, we'll ask you to complete a short, confidential test before you arrive so that we can assess your level of burnout. This will only take around 5 minutes and is designed to help us ensure you get the most out of the week. Click here to access the test.
We have 10 places on the programme and you have the option of staying in your own private bell tent or sharing with a friend on a twin basis at a lower cost when you both book together. If you're a couple or would like to come with up to three other friends, we can accommodate you in a double and up to two additional single beds in a tent, so just let us know when you book and we can arrange this for you very easily.
Once you have booked your place we will send you all the details about how to get to The Forge and what you'll need to bring with you.
