Join us for these days immersed in the countryside, with our own yoga space, nights by the fire, fairy lights lighting up our bell tents.. cosy beds, day trips to spectacular Welsh lakes, delicious food, a weekend to slooooow down and enjoy the fresh air of the countryside.
Our accommodation will be luxury bell tents that have been thoughtfully designed to ensure you have a true back-to-nature experience but with all the modern comforts to make your stay with us extra special.
We have 4 bell tents in total, each bell tent to sleep 3 people! They are carpeted and have plenty of blankets and cushions to make it super cosy. Travel cots and highchairs can be provided on request. Each bell tent is up on its own wooden decking area, has your own sheltered and fully equipped kitchen area, hammock, fire pit and compost toilet.
Outside, you will have your own fire pit to get cosy around! There is a large undercover games cabin with a pool table and comfy leather sofas for chilling out in. Or you can take a wander up the hill to the fire circle on our own Iron Age hill fort, which is the perfect place to enjoy a sun-downer or gaze up at the stars. DATES • 1 - 4 May, 2020, Friday to Monday TEACHERS Your teacher will be Charlene Lim (@charlenelim) on this retreat, with a guest teacher, Sophie (@feral-and-true), from the Trika Team!
Charlene’s classes will be grounding; with the intention of allowing the body and mind to be able to settle into our natural and peaceful surroundings. Expect time for pranayama, yoga practice to reconnect and enjoy our movement, and savasanas with the landscape of North Wales around us.
On Sunday evening, we will be treated to a gong bath to ease into a deep state of relaxation by Sophie. We will combine gentle restorative yoga and yoga nidra, before settling in to the soothing sounds of the gong, singing bowls and chimes. This sound meditation allows the body to restore and reset, and is said to be equivalent to a full night's sleep.
Sophie will also be guiding us in an optional session of forest bathing on Saturday afternoon- a peaceful meditation amongst the trees allowing us to slow down to the rhythm of the natural world. Sinking into silence in this way brings a deeper sense of presence and embodied connection with our inner and outer nature. The session draws on shinrin-yoku - a Japanese practice of bathing our senses in forests to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment. Followed by journaling and reflection, this is a wonderfully restorative experience to remember.
