If you are looking for a 24 hour overnight experience there is lots we can pack in so you leave feeling like you've had a proper break.
Typically run from midday to midday, our one-night 24 hour experience is the perfect introduction to off-grid glamping and activities in the great outdoors.
Overview
Unwind in our Finnish sauna and wild swimming pond, try your hand at bushcraft and enjoy some top-notch homecooked food in our one-night overnight experience. Here is a sample itinerary but we can switch out any of the activities to give you more time to focus on your own agenda, or replace with a different activity.
Itinerary
DAY ONE
- 12pm - Arrive and get settled into accommodation
- 1pm - Welcome lunch on the deck
- 2pm - Introduction to fire lighting
- 4pm - Guided wild swim and sauna session
- 6pm - Guest speaker or storyteller
- 7pm - Barbecue
- 8pm - Marshmallow toasting around the campfire
DAY TWO
- 7am - Optional run/walk to local hill fort (4km)
- 9am - Breakfast
- 10am - Axe throwing competition
- 11am - Wrap up with tea and coffee
- 12pm - Depart

About the accommodation
Accommodation is in 5m luxury heated bell tents, our handcrafted shepherds' huts and a vintage gypsy caravan. We provide all the bedding, linen and towels. We have separate sleeping spaces for 10 people, and can accommodate up to 15 people if they are happy to share a tent. All our accommodation has a camp kitchen and private composting toilet. There are hot showers for everyone to use.

We have lots of free parking or we are very happy to pick you up if you are travelling by public transport. Our nearest stations are Wrexham General and Chirk.

The Forge is perfectly located less than an hour from the M6, M56 and M54 motorways, under half an hour from a mainline train station with direct routes to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool and is within 15 minutes' drive of the Snowdonia National Park.
