Looking for some inspiration on what to buy the glamping lover in your life? Check out our gift wish list for some ideas…
With only 18 days to go until the Big Day, I am sure I am not alone in feeling that slow rising panic about what to buy all the nearest and dearest in my life. If you are stuck for ideas then check out our glamping gift list ideas for some useful, beautiful and some downright quirky pressies for anyone who loves, or perhaps would like to try, glamping. I have to offer up my thanks to all of those of you out there on social media who shared your inspiration for this list – it is greatly appreciated!
First up are our alternative energy goodies, essential luxury items for anyone looking to enjoy a truly off-grid experience. We are in love with these BioLite camping stoves which actually turn fire into electricity so you can charge your phone or LED lights. We are also massive fans of solar powered rucksacks that you can not only carry around all your essentials for a day out but charge the lightweight battery while you are it – this one from TomTop is very cool. A good headtorch is also worth its weight in gold, especially for glamping in the spring and the autumn when the nights draw in a little earlier. I can’t live without my Lumen!
Then there are all the items that help with a really good lounge about. We absolutely adore our Lynton Garden hammocks, although they should come with a warning that they are nigh on impossible to coax yourself out of once you’ve settled in with a drink and a good book! Speaking of which, there are some great campfire cooking recipe books on the market. One of our favourites is this one by Emma Frisch – Feast by Firelight. And if you are looking for the height of luxury in your bell tent while you are padding around barefoot then check out these gorgeous half moon rag rugs from Bell Tent Boutique.
And then we get to the all-important beverages! Perhaps unsurprisingly a large number of your suggestions had something to do with drink… We love these stainless-steel flasks from the Cool Canvas Camping company – ideal for keeping your coffee warm for up to 8 hours, so perfect if you are heading off up one of our local mountains. You might also like to take a sneaky hip flask with you. This retro flask by Stanley is both on trend and utilitarian. Being a proud Scot, Jamie never goes anywhere (pretty much) without his, and a nip of a nice single malt is a perfect way to round off the day around the campfire. Our favourite is Bruichladdich Classic Laddie (so much so that we named our dog after it!). If you, like me, are a little clumsy and accident prone, these wine glass holders are a nice addition to your glamping experience and might save you some money on spilled Chardonnay!
And finally, if you still can’t decide, why not give the gift of experience instead. We now have gift vouchers for sale in our online shop which are the perfect way to encourage your loved ones to take some time out, come to The Forge and relax in the great outdoors, with a nice bit of luxury thrown in for good measure 😊.
