Are ready to move up a gear and start to really swim in open water?
- Have you been 'dipping' and 'swimbling' for a while now but would like to take things up a gear?
- Perhaps you're keen to swim a bit further or maybe try a distance challenge?
- Or maybe you've just entered a triathlon and have no clue how to transition from pool to open water swimming?
If you answered yes to any of the above then our brand new Open Water Swim Technique Weekend could be just the thing you are looking for!
What's involved?
We'll be spending a few hours in the water to focus on stroke, breathing, and acclimatisation. There'll be land-based stretching and strength work plus you get video feedback and your own personalised training programme.
Sounds like hard work...
There will also be plenty of time for some fun too with leisurely dips in the river and the wildlife pond on site, plus you get to hang out in the sauna for that all-important heat therapy!
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
Not necessarily but you do need to be confident swimming for 500m continuously in either front crawl of breast stroke.
What about food?
We'll be providing evening meals and you bring your food of choice for breakfast and lunch, as we know this is a very personal choice. Rest assured there will also be a lot of homemade cake on hand as we exit the water!
Can I come for the day?
YES! This is one of our only retreats where you have the option of joining us just for the day. You can also bring your own tent or campervan to keep costs down. So it's £195pp for the day, £295pp if you bring your own tent/van and £395pp if you'd like 2 nights' accommodation at The Forge. We only need a 25% deposit to secure your place with final payment due 4 weeks beforehand and payment plans are available.
